Thanksgiving is always a special time of year in Ruidoso. For one thing, the temperatures are dropping as winter approaches, and the soothing smell of crackling fireplaces is floating in the air. Thanksgiving also means it’s time to start planning your big meal. More importantly, it’s a time to pause and reflect on all that we have to be thankful for and appreciate.
Thanksgiving weekend also marks three long-anticipated annual events. First, Ruidoso’s beloved horse-drawn sleigh rides start running again in downtown Ruidoso. Second, Winter Park Recreational Area opens, to the delight of squealing snow tubers and thrill seekers near and far.
And lastly, let’s not forgot that Thanksgiving weekend is when Ski Apache dusts off the chair lifts and invites snow-starved skiers and snowboarders to hit the slopes.
If you haven’t yet booked a cabin or condo for Thanksgiving weekend, you’ll need to act fast but we do have a few properties left!
