Walk Through Bethlehem at the Angus Nazarene Church: See Bethlehem as it looked in Jesus’ time. Next month, September 14 – 18, 2011, Ruidoso will host the 41st Annual Golden Aspen Motorcycle Rally at Inn of the Mountain Gods Resort and Casino.
Ride Texas Magazine has rated the Golden Aspen Rally among the Top 10 USA Events for bikers! And as thousands have already discovered, cruising the Southern Rockies under the shaded pines of the beautiful Sacramentors is an experience not to be missed. From June 22-25, Ruidoso will welcome nearly two dozen beautiful and talented ladies competing for the title of “Miss New Mexico.” For the first time in the Pageant’s history, Spencer Theater will host the competition. The wining contestant will represent New Mexico in the Miss America pageant next January in Las Vegas.
The week of the event will feature preliminary competitions, the “Little Miss New Mexico” talent show, a VIP dinner and performance, and the Miss New Mexico finals.

The mild winter weather of Ruidoso, New Mexico occasionally provides visitors with a morning of alpine skiing, followed by an afternoon on the golf course, followed by an evening at the casino – truly a unique combination of activities to be found anywhere in the country. New Deal Art from New Mexico

Hubbard Museum of the American West
During the Great Depression the Federal government provided funds to assist artists throughout the United States. Many painters and sculptors working in New Mexico were able to continue their work throughout the Depression with the assistance of these funds. The New Deal monies also supported the design and construction of public buildings, such as libraries, courthouses, and schools as well as monuments and parks. Images of 40 New Deal paintings and sculptures by New Mexico artists will be on display in the Hubbard’s Greentree Room.
